About UAE Defense Monitor

What is UAE Defense Monitor?

UAE Defense Monitor is an unofficial, independent dashboard that tracks publicly reported security and military activity concerning the United Arab Emirates — UAV drone activity, cruise and ballistic missile engagements, casualty figures, official travel advisories, and related news reports.

What it tracks

  • Daily counts of UAV, cruise missile, and ballistic missile activity reported as engaged or intercepted, sourced from official statements by the UAE Ministry of Defence.
  • A running casualties figure (deaths and injuries), sourced from named public reporting.
  • Official government travel advisories for the UAE from multiple countries, tracked per country with a source link to the issuing government.
  • A curated feed of news reports judged relevant to living in or travelling to the UAE, or to the wider regional conflict.

Update frequency

  • Attack/engagement counts: Fetched daily from the Ministry of Defence's public statements.
  • Casualties figure: Updated manually as new official figures are published.
  • Travel advisories: Re-checked weekly against each government's official advisory page.
  • News reports: Searched automatically every 4 hours for new relevant reports.

The "last updated" timestamp shown across this site is the real time of the most recent data commit from the site's automated update pipeline, not the time a page happened to be visited. It is shown in UAE local time (GST, UTC+4).

Verification status

  • Reported: Sourced from a named official statement or news outlet, linked directly from this site. This is the status of most figures shown here.
  • Unconfirmed / uncertain: A travel-advisory level or news classification our automated checks could not clearly determine (marked as such rather than guessed), left at its last known value.

Sources

  • UAE Ministry of Defence — public statements on daily air-defence activity
  • Named news outlets, linked per report in the news feed
  • Official government travel-advisory pages, linked per country

Limitations

  • This is an unofficial project, not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to the UAE government.
  • Figures reflect what has been publicly reported at the time of fetching — they are not independently verified beyond checking the cited source.
  • News relevance is determined by automated keyword matching against an official-sounding query, which occasionally includes an unrelated result (e.g. a sports headline matching on country names); reviewers are welcome to disregard clearly unrelated entries.
  • Location and weapon-identification detail for individual strikes is not published by the source Ministry of Defence statements at the granularity this site could reliably report, so this site does not claim per-strike location or weapon-identification data.
